On September 8, we had a glorious sail onboard tall ship Mathew Turner (MT) which is a traditionally rigged schooner requiring a crew of eight to sail her. It was thrilling to see the crew climb aloft and work the sails, and we were treated to a gorgeous sunset. Alison prepared a nice spread of interesting sandwiches and hors d’oeuvres, so no one went hungry. You should have been there!
We did have a good turnout with 18 members and their guests. Four new members joined us for the sail: Carla WIley, Juliet Boyd, Luis Garcia and Luis Martinez. We hope you will all join us in the spring when we plan to schedule another MT sail. For more information: www.callofthesea.org.
